In Chapple v. Umberto Management Ltd., 2009 BCSC 724, a 38-year-old restaurant manager with 13 years’ service received a notice period of 15 months. In Rodrigues v. Shendon Enterprises Ltd., 2010 BCSC 941, a 46-year-old manager of a restaurant with 16 years’ service received 16 months’ notice, in part on the basis that she would have difficulty finding equivalent employment. In Potter, cited earlier, a 48-year-old non-managerial employee with 17 years’ service received a notice period of 12 months.
