The authorities to which I was referred included Baumgart v. Convergent Technologies (1989), 28 C.C.E.L. 250 (B.C.S.C.). There the plaintiff was a sales representative who was employed for a period of approximately 17 months. The notice period was fixed at five months but that was reduced to three months based on a failure to mitigate his damages.
