What is the effect of an appeal from a long period of redemption?

Saskatchewan, Canada

The following excerpt is from Rex v. Handsbee, 1923 CanLII 330 (SK CA):

Norris v. Huse 1922 CanLII 266 (SK QB), [1922] 1 W.W.R. 351. This is, an appeal from an order granting a long period of redemption, and Taylor J., remarked that Whilst her affidavit shows that only 375 bushels of grain were grown last year, and that it has not yet been sold, still clearly under the agreement one-half thereof belongs to the vendor, and there is no suggestion of any offer to turn over this half share to him, nor apparently does she recognize his right thereto in any way.
