What is the standard of care for a patient who has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Medina v Wong, 2018 BCSC 292 (CanLII):

The standard of care is sensitive to the degree of foreseeable risk. If a medical practitioner has, or ought to have, knowledge of a particular risk to a patient, the standard of care is more demanding in relation to that risk: Brodeur at para. 107; Ediger v. Johnston, 2009 BCSC 386 at para. 49, aff’d 2013 SCC 18 [Ediger - BCSC].
