The Respondents submitted evidence which purported to demonstrate that the differences in the manufacturing design of the door latch systems necessitated individual investigation of alleged defects and, as a result, the findings with respect to a given vehicle within the affected vehicles could not be extrapolated or generalized to other vehicles, similar to the facts and findings in Ernewein v. General Motors Canada Limited, [2005] 260 D.L.R. (4th ) 488 (B.C.C.A.).
