What is a reasonable time period for responding to an application?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Mac v. Mak, 2016 BCSC 1804 (CanLII):

The law on reasonable time was considered by Mr. Justice Masuhara in Dodge v. Shaw Cablesystems Ltd., 2009 BCSC 1765. He noted that there is case law that suggests a seven‑day period can be a reasonable time to analyze and respond, but he reasoned that every case must be judged on its own facts.
