Is a child of the marriage entitled to support if they are in full-time education?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from McLean v McLean, 2013 ABQB 700 (CanLII):

I agree with Johnstone J.’s conclusion (at para. 33) of Wahl that: Courts have generally regarded a child over the age of majority who is in full-time attendance at an educational institution as a “child of the marriage” and therefore entitled to support. There has been a general acceptance of education pursuits as a “cause” that renders a child unable to withdraw from his or her parents’ charge: Fair v. Jones, [1999] N.W.T.J. No. 44 (S.C.)
