Is there any difference in the amount of household care received by the deceased during the course of her life?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wicks v. Grimes, et al, 2001 BCSC 187 (CanLII):

Does that benefit, received by the deceased, amount to an enrichment with a corresponding deprivation of the plaintiff. In Peter v. Beblow (supra) the court recognized that household care services are worthy of recognition by the courts and that these services are of great value to the other spouse. There is no doubt in the case at bar that the relationship between the plaintiff and the deceased at the relevant periods of time was spouse like in its character. They did not at any time marry and it was a view expressed by the deceased that she did not wish to marry.
