However, in Newson v. Newson the parties lived at a much higher standard of living than in the present situation. Moreover, both parties had worked hard with the business. It was a joint venture. The wife had made direct contributions and was now entitled to get her share after the separation when the business had developed due to her own efforts as well as those of her husband.
