What is the consequence of a child's failure to comply with a parenting order?

Manitoba, Canada

The following excerpt is from J.A.P. v. M.J.P., 2018 MBQB 1 (CanLII):

As I indicated in Morrison v. Charney, 2007 MBQB 47, too great a reticence to find contempt only breeds contempt. With the parenting history that each of these parents has demonstrated and if past behaviour is any predictor of future behaviour, each of these parties needs a shot across the bow now so that if the direction does not change, the next time they willfully breach an order will merit a more significant consequence.
