Does the respondent have a greater capacity to advance his career and increase his income than the claimant has been out of the work force for 10 years?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Sarro v. Sarro, 2011 BCSC 1010 (CanLII):

While the claimant has been out of the work force, the respondent was able to advance his career and increase his income. I understand his concern about future job security in his present position, but he still has “a far greater capacity to improve his financial situation in the future” than does the claimant: McEachern v. McEachern, 2006 BCCA 508 at para. 42.
