Is a payor's post-separation increase in income a result of his continued experience and seniority in his career built upon the sacrifices made by the recipient during the marriage?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from H.S.S v S.H.D, 2021 BCSC 364 (CanLII):

Where a payor’s post-separation increase in income arises as a result of continued experience and seniority in his career that built upon the sacrifices made by the recipient during the marriage, post-separation increases in income are to be taken into account when making the compensatory order: see Thompson v. Thompson, 2013 ONSC 5500.
