Is there a change in career trajectory or focus in the career of the respondent after separation?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Malviya v Bhupendra, 2018 BCSC 454 (CanLII):

There has been no change in his career trajectory or focus as was the case in a variety of the authorities referred to me by the respondent. The cases suggest that the inquiry as to whether to include post-separation income increases is fact driven and, in the main, dependent upon whether the income shift of the payor is driven by a change in employers or positions since separation: Hartshorne v. Hartshorne, 2010 BCCA 327.
