"New York", United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Christopher S., 126 Misc.2d 594, 483 N.Y.S.2d 609 (N.Y. City Ct. 1984):

1 People v. Torres, supra, held that Miranda warnings must be given when a defendant is asked to pull into a safety zone after being stopped at a traffic safety roadblock. This pre-Berkemer decision discussed questioning at a later stage of a roadside stop and did not specifically address the issue before this court.
