What is the definition of a class for purposes of section 4(1)(b) of the CPA?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Jastram Properties Ltd. v HSBC Bank Canada, 2021 BCSC 2204 (CanLII):

I am satisfied that this class definition satisfies the requirements of s. 4(1)(b) of the CPA as set out in Jiang v. Peoples Trust Company, 2017 BCCA 119 at para. 82. It is defined by objective criteria that do not depend on the merits of the claim. It bears a rational relationship to the common issues to be addressed below: it is neither unnecessarily broad, nor does it arbitrarily exclude potential class members. It contains more than two members.
