What is the current limitation period under section 340.5 of the Code of Civil Procedure?

We do agree with the trial court, however, with respect to the three-year limitations period. Recently, in Brown v. Bleiberg, supra, 32 Cal.3d 426, 186 Cal.Rptr. 228, 651 P.2d 815, our high court compared the amended version of Code of Civil Procedure section 340.5 with the law as it existed before it was enacted and later amended.
