Is a testatrix's failure to confer any benefits under her will to her Rela Tives?

Manitoba, Canada

The following excerpt is from Mathis Estate, Re;Piasta v. St. John's Cathedral Boys' School et al., 1989 CanLII 7463 (MB CA):

With respect to the moral claims on her estate, there is no doubt that the testatrix knew that she had rela tives but she chose not to confer any benefits on them under her will. I am satisfied that the three requirements of Banks v. Goodfellow, supra, were met.
