The test for compensation for loss of housekeeping and home maintenance capacity was succinctly expressed in Menhinick v. Lobesz, 2008 BCSC 1285 at para. 55: The plaintiff must establish a real and substantial possibility that she will continue in the future to be unable to perform all of her usual and necessary household work, and that the work she will not be able to do will require her to pay someone else to do it, or will require others to do it for her gratuitously.
