It is trite law that only the privilege holder has the ability to waive privilege; in this case 1772887. It is also trite law that solicitor-client privilege is a fundamental right and central to the integrity and functioning of the justice system: Blank v. Canada (Minister of Justice), 2006 SCC 39, [2006] 2 S.C.R. 319, at paras. 24-26.
