These assertions do not appear, other than as statements in the respondent’s affidavit materials, to be supported by the objective facts before me. The relevant authorities caution against taking such representations at face value and place greater emphasis on the objective record before the court; see for example Fasiang v. Fasiangova, 2008 BCSC 1339 at para. 67.
