What is the evidence that supports the proposition that a respondent has addressed flaws and shortcomings in her relationship with her children?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Driscoll v Frederickson, 2019 BCSC 1312 (CanLII):

Based on all the evidence, I am satisfied that the respondent has addressed those flaws and shortcomings. She has become sober and desires a healthy and close relationship with her children. Other than some words exchanged during the electronic contact with the children, there have been no incidents of violence since October of 2016. I have reference in support of this proposition to Small v. Brock, 2018 BCSC 57 at para. 22.
