What is the common law case law relating to neck and upper back pain?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Carson v Ehman, 2019 BCSC 2120 (CanLII):

Of the cases cited by the plaintiff, I find Lee v. Metheral to be the most similar to the present case. The plaintiff in that case was 32 years old at the time of the accident. She experienced headache and pain in her neck and shoulders, which gradually improved over the next few months, although she continued to have pain and stiffness in her neck, upper back, and shoulders. These symptoms were aggravated with extended periods of sitting and working at a computer. Her headaches and neck pain continued at the time of trial, which was more than four years after the accident.
