In a motor vehicle accident, can a plaintiff who suffered soft tissue injuries to her neck, upper and mid back and lower back, continue to experience headaches and back pain?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Corrado v. Mah, 2006 BCSC 1191 (CanLII):

In Jackson v. Gow, 2001 BCSC 54, a 33 year old female was injured in a motor vehicle accident. The plaintiff suffered soft tissue injuries to her neck, upper and mid back and aggravated pre-existing lower back injuries. Following the accident, the plaintiff was off work for approximately seven months. At the time of trial, approximately three years after the accident, the plaintiff was still experiencing headaches and back pain. The plaintiff stated that her pain had improved one year after the accident, in that it was "more off than on".
