After the panel decided various preliminary issues (see Law Society of Upper Canada v. Resetar, 2015 ONLSTH 103, 2017 ONLSTH 56 and 2018 ONLSTH 4), the hearing on the merits commenced. After 12 days of hearing, during which the Law Society called its evidence and its witnesses were cross-examined, the parties entered into resolution discussions at a mid-hearing conference with the assistance of an adjudicator.
