Does the Master have any authority or jurisdiction to award compensation to the husband for his time, energy and effort in winding down the farm operation?

Manitoba, Canada

The following excerpt is from Stuart v. Stuart, 2007 MBQB 210 (CanLII):

The husband had argued before the Master that he was entitled to some level of compensation for his time, energy and effort in winding down the farm operation. The Master had ruled relying on sound authority, that in the context of a Family Property Act accounting he had no authority or jurisdiction to make such an allowance: Van Meijl-Gisbers v. Van Meijl [2000] M.J. No. 341.
