In Dallman v. The King (1942), 1942 CanLII 52 (SCC), 77 C.C.C. 289 (S.C.C.) the accused was convicted of the offence of importing bonds into Canada, without having obtained a licence to do so and of having conspired to do so contrary to the then s.573 of the Criminal Code. That section stated: "Everyone is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to seven years imprisonment who, in any case not hereinbefore provided for, conspires with any person to commit an indictable offence."
