What is the test for admitting a video of Crystal as a witness to her trial?

Saskatchewan, Canada

The following excerpt is from Quintal v. Datta and Skochylas, 1988 CanLII 5084 (SK CA):

The issue of admissibility of this type of evidence calls for the sound discretion of the trial judge to determine whether evidence which is technically admissible should be excluded because of its possible prejudice: See Draper v. Jacklyn, supra. After reviewing the photographs of Crystal taken on May 2, 1982, and the video portraying a day in her life, we are all of the opinion that the learned trial judge did not abuse his discretion by admitting the evidence. We therefore reject this ground of appeal.
