Instead, the Hearing Panel applied the principle articulated by Hoilett J. in Ellyn-Barristers v. Stone, [2006] O.T.C. 314 (S.C.), at para. 34, that: “[t]he overarching question in any assessment of a solicitor’s account must be whether or not the total amount charged the client fairly represents the professional services rendered.”
