Does the executor have discretion to delay or order the passing of accounts?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Re Barbieri Estate, 2022 BCSC 533 (CanLII):

The executor argues that the court has discretion to delay passing of accounts or to order something less than the usual accounts. He cites Jackson v. King, 2003 BCSC 328 at para. 17, for the proposition that where the court considers there is no need for a full accounting to be provided, or where the information is not what the respondent presently requires or desires, the court in that case ordered production of something less than a full passing of accounts.
