How have courts considered cumulative irregularities in elections under the Elections Act?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Flookes v. Shrake, 1989 CanLII 3220 (AB QB):

In Wright v. Koziak, supra, McGillivray C.J.A. also considered the effect of cumulative irregularities. At p. 465 he said: It seems to me that in each case one must consider whether the election was conducted “in accordance with the principles laid down” in the Act, and whether the result of the election was materially affected. Certainly one non-compliance or irregularity might not materially affect the result, whereas the combination of four or five, taken together, might; and I think it remains to consider what is alleged here.
