Co., and proceeds as follows: So far as the constructional type of the steps of its cars is concerned, I take it that under this rule the duty of a street railway company to its passengers is fulfilled when it purchases, from the best manufacturers, equipment of the type customarily used for that traffic, or itself manufactures such equipment in accordance with the design customarily employed by street railway companies; provided, of course, there is no special defect in the individual car in question.
