In Becket v. Becket, 2002 BCSC 1603, Curtis J. in para. 22 said, as follows: The Divorce Act does not legislate a right to an equal standard of living arising out of a long term marriage. Additionally, equal amounts of money do not necessarily mean an equal standard of living.
