Counsel for the defendant asserts that questions requiring the names of witnesses are not properly asked at an examination for discovery and refers to a decision of Master Horn in Currie v. Kaminski from 1999. Master Horn, there, refers to the relevant rule, which is Rule 27(22), which provides -- and, again, I will read this in full: Unless the court otherwise orders, a person being examined for discovery shall answer any question within his or her knowledge or means of knowledge regarding any matter, not privileged, relating to a matter in question in the action and is compellable to give the names and addresses of all persons who reasonably might be expected to have knowledge relating to any matter in question in the action.
