How have counsel for the examining party been advised to conduct their own examination for discovery?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Gardner v. Viridis Energy Inc., 2012 BCSC 1816 (CanLII):

The time limit on discovery requires that counsel for the examining party not unduly interfere or intervene during the examination for discovery. A largely “hands off” approach, except in the clearest cases, is consistent with the object of the Rules: Kendall v. Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, 2010 BCSC 1556 at paras. 14, 18.
