The cost incurred by a trustee in organizing her accounts for presentation to the court is one of the costs generally covered by her award of compensation. A trustee will not normally be allowed the sum paid to a professional or other accountant for making up the accounts for the purpose of the audit. Taylor v. Magrath (1885), 10 O.R. 669. In other words, if a trustee brings a box of financial records to her solicitor and asks him to put them in proper form for passing the solicitor’s fee for that service is one chargeable to her personally because he is doing her trustee’s work for her. She can pay that fee out of her compensation. Principle #5:
