I do find, however, using a "means and needs" approach to spousal support, that the claimant requires assistance in meeting her needs. The concept of need should take into account the standard of living of the spouses following the marriage breakdown: see Yemchuk v. Yemchuk, 2005 BCCA 406 at paras. 49-50.
