In 2019 the respondent was suspended for 45 days for professional misconduct involving misleading advertising, demanding improper referral fees, failing to act with integrity and uncivil behaviour: Law Society of Ontario v. Fathi, 2019 ONLSTH 112.

The respondent’s licence is currently suspended pursuant to an interlocutory order for failure to co-operate with a Law Society investigation: Law Society of Ontario v. Fathi, 2021 ONLSTH 75. We note that the respondent did not participate in that interlocutory proceeding.
