On appeal challenging the sufficiency of circumstantial evidence, does the court re-examine a witness's credibility?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Montijo, F074203 (Cal. App. 2018):

On an appeal challenging the sufficiency of circumstantial evidence, a reviewing court neither reweighs evidence nor reevaluates a witness's credibility. (People v. Guerra (2006) 37 Cal.4th 1067, 1129.)2 Viewing the evidence in the light most favorable to the verdict, we find substantial evidence of reasonable, credible and solid value supporting the jury's finding that appellant personally used a firearm under section 12022.53, subdivision (b).
