In the City of New Orleans v. Impastato, 3 S.O. 2d 559 (La. Sup. Ct., 1941), alterations were made to the rear of a building. The court states (at p. 561): The word “exterior”, as applied to a building, clearly means all of the outer surfaces thereof as distinguished from its interior or the portion enclosed by the outer surfaces.
