defendant's argument is that the trial courts have inherent power to appoint a second attorney, no authority supporting that proposition is cited. (People v. Padilla (1995) 11 Cal.4th 891, 928, 47 Cal.Rptr.2d 426, 906 P.2d 388.) Accordingly, defendant's claim that the court erred in not appointing a second attorney in the absence of such a request fails.
