In order to receive an award for management services, the plaintiff must prove: a. that the management assistance is in fact necessary; b. that investment advice is in fact necessary in the circumstances; and c. the costs of such services. Mandzuk v. Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, 1988 CanLII 16 (SCC), [1988] 2 S.C.R. 650 at 651.
