Modeste, supra, Sissons J. at p. 87 expanded on the meaning of the word “intoxicated” by saying that: “It is the effect of consuming liquor that counts. “‘Intoxicate’ means: “‘to affect temporarily with loss of control over the physical and mental powers by means of alcoholic liquor.’ “
