What is the meaning of the term right thinking members of society?

Saskatchewan, Canada

The following excerpt is from Gordon v. Caswell, 1984 CanLII 2712 (SK QB):

I turn now to the excerpts, and in dealing with these, I will repeatedly use the term right thinking members of society". And I want to underline and clarify that at no point of my discussion will I be using that term with reference to persons holding any particular tenets of any faith, or of any code of morality. I rather endeavor to place upon that term the same meaning expressed by the learned Justices in Sim v. Stretch, which I earlier referred to. I have in mind the ordinary person in society, in Saskatoon if you will, who reads and understands what he reads, who sees and comprehends what he sees, and who makes a judgment in consequence.
