Can a married couple who were in a marriage-like relationship challenge the validity of a family law agreement?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Blunt v Lee, 2019 BCSC 351 (CanLII):

I come to the same conclusion. When statutory provisions do not apply, couples who were in marriage-like relationships may rely on the equitable principles of unconscionability and unjust enrichment to challenge the validity of family law agreements: Bucholtz v. Smith, 2001 BCSC 1176 at para. 10; Shutiak at para. 28.
