Can a motion for contempt be given in a supporting affidavit?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from McKnight v. Hutchison, 2011 BCSC 457 (CanLII):

There is law to the effect that particulars of the alleged contempt can be given in the supporting affidavit, although I think the better practice is to particularize the contempt in the notice of motion itself. See Ebrahim v. Ebrahim 2000 BCCA 398 at paragraphs 12-13.
