What is the test for a motion to terminate a child support order?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from M.L.W. v C.M.W, 2017 BCSC 1613 (CanLII):

Under the first branch of the test, the court must be satisfied that there has been a material change in circumstances, i.e. a significant and long-lasting change, since the original support order was made. The change must also be real, that is, “not one of choice”: Earle v. Earle at para. 27.
