appeal as an indication that the jury did not understand certain aspects of the trial because juries have many reasons for delivering inconsistent verdicts, including "lenity" and "compromise." [Citation.] An inconsistency may show no more than jury lenity, compromise, or mistake, none of which undermines the validity of a verdict."].)
