Does the Attorney General have any authority or authority to issue a finding on appeal?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Trevizo, 2d Crim. No. B204187 (Cal. App. 7/20/2009), 2d Crim. No. B204187. (Cal. App. 2009):

Trevizo claims the court did not make adequate findings to indicate why it imposed consecutive sentences. The Attorney General argues that Trevizo waived this issue by not requesting findings at the sentencing hearing. The Attorney General is correct. When the court imposed the consecutive terms, Trevizo did not request findings. He consequently waived this issue on appeal. (People v. Scott (1994) 9 Cal.4th 331, 353.) But, even on the merits, the result does not change.
