Does a trustee have a duty to provide additional notice to the purchaser of a property that has been put up for sale?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from U.S. Cold Storage v. Great Western Savings v. Loan Assn., 165 Cal.App.3d 1214, 212 Cal.Rptr. 232 (Cal. App. 1985):

Judicial authority confirms that no duty to provide additional notice exists. Cobb v. California Bank (1936) 6 Cal.2d 389, 390, 57 P.2d 924 states that "where the trust deed provides that the trustee may ... postpone [the] sale by proclamation made at the time of postponement, no further notice need be given by posting or publication."
