p. 482.) The record here does not show either requirement. Finally, in People v. Flores (2019) 34 Cal.App.5th 270 (Flores), the court found a McCoy violation when defense counsel overrode the defendant's objections and expressed desire to maintain his innocence, and instead admitted the defendant was driving the car that seriously injured a police officer and conceded he possessed certain firearms.
